Compassionate Care

OutreachAt Christmas, the No Grinch Christmas Bake-Off, an intergenerational family baking event on a Saturday in Advent hosted by our Children's Ministry, raised $700 for a family of six from Uganda. The single mother who had no food in her cupboard expressed her appreciation and thanks for our gift and you can read her letter of appreciation on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall and lower down on this page. She is a mature student in Leslie Stoddart's English Class at Bow Valley College and lived in a refugee camp for many years before finding a home in Canada for she and her six children after her husband and sister were murdered.
